The story behind the voice
Cynthia Cooper is a four-time WNBA champion, four-time Finals MVP, two-time league MVP, Olympic gold medalist, and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer. The defining player of the WNBA’s founding era, Cooper led the Houston Comets to four consecutive titles from 1997 to 2000 and was the league’s leading scorer three straight seasons. Before the WNBA existed, she spent a decade dominating European basketball in Spain and Italy after her reign as a two-time NCAA champion at USC alongside Cheryl Miller. Cooper continues impacting the game today as a rotating game and in-studio analyst for WNBA on Prime, host of her upcoming podcast, and mentor to the next generation of talent. She remains deeply embedded in the Houston basketball community, running youth clinics and training programs through her G2G Basketball Academy and community work with the Houston Rockets.
